1. Do I need to pay a fee to access the ISCA Talent Marketplace?

The ISCA Talent Marketplace is available for free for employers in the sector. Employers can register on the Marketplace and view their matched candidates. The only cost is the service fee you pay on the platform to hire a new staff member or contractor. 

 

2. How is the ISCA Talent Marketplace different to a standard job board? 

Job boards are essentially digital job advertisements, where employers post job openings and hope that the right candidates are browsing the listings. The ISCA Talent Marketplace features aspiring professional business accountants and chartered accounts looking for work. The portal provides a personalised experience and immediately matches candidates to your specific needs. 

 

3. How can empolyers post jobs on the 'Roles for Hire' page under the 'Jobseekers' tab?

Step-by-Step Guideline: How to Post Jobs

1. Prepare Your Job Posting Details

Before you send your email, gather the following information:

  • Organisation Name

  • Role / Job Title

  • Brief Job Requirements

  • How to Apply (detailed below)

2. Add Detailed Application Instructions

When describing “How to Apply,” consider including:

  • Application Method:

    • Email address (where applications should be sent)

    • Online application link (direct URL, if available)

  • Contact Person:

    • Name and designation of the person managing applications, if applicable

    • Contact email and, optionally, phone number for queries

  • Any Special Instructions:

    • e.g., subject line format for the email, file naming conventions for attachments, or document format preferences (PDF, DOCX, etc.)

3. Draft and Send the Email

  • Address your email to ato@isca.org.sg

  • Include the details listed above in a clear, organized format (preferably bullet points or sections)

  • Double-check all application details, contact information, and links before sending.

 

4. What does it cost to hire a candidate on the ISCA Talent Marketplace?

The service fee to hire candidates on the ISCA Talent Marketplace is significantly lower than recruiter fees. The fees range per hire depending on the level of experience of the hire and which country. To assist with affordability, we also offer the option to pay this fee in 6 (six) interest-free monthly instalments. 

 

5. What happens if I terminate a new hire in the first 28 days?

  • If an employer terminates the employment of a Candidate within 28 days of hiring a candidate on the Product, they receive a Candidate Credit. The Candidate Credit allows the employer to select another candidate from the Marketplace and use the Candidate Credit to hire this person at no additional charge.
  • The Candidate Credit can only be used to replace the terminated hire. The service fee monthly payments paid for the first candidate are transferred to the replacement hire. 
  • The Candidate Credit is viable for up 28 days which commences from the date of issue. After this period, the Candidate Credit cannot be used on the platform. There is only one Candidate Credit available for each new hire that is terminated by the employer.

 

6. How are the job seekers in ISCA Talent Marketplace screened and verified?

When job seekers register on the ISCA Talent Marketplace, they complete an industry pre-screening process that collects information on their qualifications, certifications, work experience, job match skills, availability, salary expectations, job types and locations.
